omfg. 1440 pages of awesomeness. 3 hardcover volumes of perhaps the most insightful, clever, naively brilliant comic ever. Wonderful political comments and subtle intelligence and thoughts. A great comic, and an incrediblely delicious collection.

Premiere Date Confirmed
The premiere date for the new season of Family Guy has finally been confirmed. No more “FOX 2005” for us. Oh no, we have a date AND a time. The season premiere of Family Guy season 4 will take place on Sunday, May 1st 9/8c on FOX. Mark your calendars and buckle up… only 104 days to go!

I finally finished my Digital Logic Design homework, and I cracked out this electronic 2-input AND circuit (using only NAND gates) to show Kate and Brian.

This is a great website. Tells you how secure (or insecure) your website is, and a good detailed instruction on how to use a relatively-difficult tool (compared to Ad-Aware and SpyBot) HijackThis. As the website says -- an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Either make sure your IE is up to date (the computer at my internship is updated and has zero browser security weaknesses), or you use Firefox (I'm told Safari is pretty damn secure also, but users should still check).

There's two new Apple Products out: The Mac Mini and the iPod Shuffle
Mac Mini is basically a very small compact computer; much like the Shuttle PCs. iPod shuffle is basically the iPod at smaller sizes (512mb for $100, 1gb for $150), with a weird new ad campaign where people don't like to choose the songs they hear. Apparently, it takes random songs from your iTunes, and plays them at random.
Part of me is excited to see Apple come out with new products, but it's basically a smaller Shuttle PC and a new iPod mini. The Mac Mini does make a semi-good argument to do computer-switching with its reference to the Belkin switch, which basically allows you to hit a button to allow your monitor/mouse/keyboard to work with two different computers.

Sometimes I feel like I'm going to be like Roger when I'm older. I love Foxtrot. It's got this 5 character family, and everyone has their own weird things about them. Now pair any combination or two, three, or even all five of them for some great comedy writing. It isn't quite as "huh...really makes you think" kind of writing, but just good clever stuff.
School is getting busy, and I'm happy with how its going. The TV Tuner isn't working out as well as I'd hoped, and my thoughts on the server are faltering. I've decided to focus my energies on the shows that I watch and the PS2 games I have yet to play (or are currently playing), as opposed to the strong urge I've hard to upgrade my computer for whatever reason.

Modix HD-3510: The USB hard drive box becomes a DVD player!
This looks freaking awesome. Basically, it is a usb external hard drive with a dvd decoder in it. It has the flexibility to connect to a computer via usb for normal drive usage, and to connect to a tv for video watching. Unfortunately the set above alone (read: NO HARD DRIVE INCLUDED) over 200 bucks.
I wonder if there is some hardware like a usb to dvd-decoder converter.
First week of school has come and gone. I'm excited about this quarter. So excited I did homework on a Friday night. No, I am not drunk...

His comedy is pretty decent. A quick IMDB search showed he was in MIB 1 and 2 (Newton; the character escapes me, but I think he was the dweeb who owned the video store in the second one), and lent his voice to GTA:SA and Halo 2.
New years day was fun. Started off by watching the floats for the Rose Parade (first time ever for me). Interested to see how the marching bands played all-american tunes, as a sort of glad-to-be-an-American kind of way. America the Beautiful was followed by fan favorite September. An interesting song played was Outkast's Hey Ya. I'm glad to know that if KBIG plays it, its good enough for the Rose Parade.
