So much for my relaxing weekend...
I'm looking forward to this weekend. I've had a hell of a week since Friday, and I would like to sit down and chill. Maybe run some errands, clean up the house, take Snatch for a walk
Et cetera...
However, a couple of factors have come together, and much like the concept of the Office's "Perfect Storm" (the day in which all weekly, monthly, and quarterly signoffs fall on the same day), this weekend is jam packed with responsibilities in different branches of my life.
regarding...
- the house: I planned to put up the patio blinds and the doggy door. I also wanted to vacuum the house (Snatch's rash may be a result of stretching/stratching her stomach across a dirty carpet). We have atrium coming in on Saturday at 9am to take care of some windows. I scheduled at at 9am because I figured I'd be out late on Friday because...
- Touro/AC Crew: she finishes her semester tomorrow, which means there is usually some sort of hurrah going-out thing. These situations usually involve dancing, drinking, and the strip, alwasy a good time IMO, so I'm not too worried about that. However, on top of that...
- SD Crew: the San Diego crew is rolling into town, to double the fun and partying! Same thing as the Touro/AC Crew -- i love the partying and i love the company and it'll be hella fun for sure. However, twice the partying just makes you even more tired for...
- Kate's family: This weekend Kate's family is coming into town to move stuff out of the Summerlin house. We are expected to assist in the loading of the stuff into the moving truck.
Now to be honest, a crazy packed weekend like this is probably best to fall on a weekend where Kate is out of school for a couple of weeks and can recharge on Monday. Unfortunately, I am still in finals mode since Mindset's newest product is going through deployment phase, which means customization, configuring, troubleshooting, helping, fixing, cleaning, and definitely coding. This weekend I plan to feel buzzed, drunk, dead tired, sleepy, chillin, and jammin. I promise myself that I will NOT feel stressed this weekend. Wish me luck again...

On a business trip...
I'm out in Fresno this week. It's only 50 miles or so from beautiful Yosemite.

Instead I'm in a relatively beautiful area too, an Indian reservation. I'm at the ChukChansi Gold Casino working for a week. I wasn't expecting it to be easy: being at a client site working with the people who actually use the software I work on every day.
Just like every week, I'm looking for the weekend. I already gave Kate this list of things I want to take care of. Things like taking care of the back patio door, putting up the doggie door and the blinds, cutting my hair and setting up network stuff.
I'm definitely getting some Wii gaming on. Kate will actually be done with this semester on Friday. I'm looking forward to partying, takin care of chores (helping out Kate's family also), and gettin some Wii gaming and some dog walking fun.
Right now, I'm finally done for the day. Had a meeting this morning, followed by lots and lots and lots of coding. It's 11pm now, and I'm probably going for a run to get some of the clean Indian reservation air (combined with casino smoking).
Being in california is sort of weird -- part of me thinks its okay to bring my alcohol outside. I think I'm good with Vegas =) I'm excited to go home.
