I watched some Two and a Half Men last night (albeit reluctantly). I actually enjoyed it. I remember watching the first episode with Kate and being repulsed, followed by our discussions here and there about how we were mad it was so highly rated, despite it sucking. I also had similar discussions with Christine, blasting it's high Neilsen ranking (while gems like Arrested Development plummets in the 80s range).
It was a good show, and it reminded me not to judge shows on one episode. I feel that may have hurt Father of the Pride and American Dad -- two shows that opened with horrible pilots, but after a few episodes, took off.
What is weird is that the first two episodes of American Dad and Father of the Pride were obviously chosen to be first -- as in they were NOT the first episode in terms of story. Elements that bring the scene/characters together were not shown until episode 2 or 3. Two and a Half Men's pilot was exactly how normal shows open.
Who knows if it's relevant, but its true.
Kate's home! I missed her. She got a charcoal drawing done of us. That's freakin awesome. She looks absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to have our date. Where to go? What movie to watch? Where to eat? Doesn't matter because I just want to hang with her.
