Walking through today...

Today is the walkthrough of the new house, and while that makes me very excited, I'm slightly nervous that I won't catch all of th edetails I want to catch. There are rules of thumb, but I suppose the best rule would be to "check everything." This time next week, I should have already signed my life away and have added some fresh keys to my chain.

It's nice and chilly in Vegas, and the chilly in Vegas is cold, but just as manageable as chilly in LA. In LA, I could wake up to fog and seeing my outgoing breath is a good indication of "cold." The humidity in Vegas is drastically less, and I don't see fog often, but my coworkers did tell me 2 years ago they did wake up to a couple inches of for-real-that-just-fell snow, so I'm aware of the potential. Getting up in the winter is tough, especially when you have a warm beagle sleeping on your cold semi-exposed feet to keep you warm. Sweaters and sweatpants have become my best friend lately.

I have a huge laundry list of stuff to take care of this weekend, so I'm glad there isn't anyone in town and no social events to attend. Not that I'm a huge socialite; I more of less am part of those outings that Kate attends, not to mention the seemingly biweekly visit to Vegas that someone we know makes.

I renewed bozasm.com for another year at the same stellar rate I got it last couple of years, and I have to remind myself every year to use the login/pw that Edgar gave me, since I never properly transferred control of the domain to a user of my own choosing. It's not a big deal; Gmail's search/archive function saved me the trouble of thinking about the login too long.

It's funny how things like fans become so useless in the winter time; in the summer, they are your best friend. I already bought a ceiling fan for the new house at a great deal, and Kate said that it was probably cheap because it's the winter time right now.

I'm trying to diagnose where the problem lies when I'm burning CDs: the burn works fine (Nero/iTunes), and with no problems. Playing the disk in my car (and in Alex's car) yields problems at about the 3-4th track. I burned another CD on kate's iBook, same issue in my car, but not in her car. I feel like it is these Nexxtech cds that I bought years ago, but I never had a problem then, or when I first bought this dvd-rom. Whatever it is, I have a decent stash of Memorex's available, so I'll live.

I read that BB and Gamestop are sitting on their Wii's until this Sunday for a big sales weekend. *crosses fingers* Wish me luck on Sunday. I'll do what drkoo did and go at 7am on Sunday with my ipod and my DS. Booyah.

Comments:
Verbatim damn it. Use nothing cheaper than that and you will have no problems. I never had any problems with Verbatim and I'm keeping all of those burned DVD/CDs 100 years.

Plus you fuxxored the link on your post. It goes to "http://www.bozasm.com/www.drkoo.net"

Drkoo
