Persuaded by American Commercials

I don't watch too many commercials - watching videos on the computer or recorded episodes on DVR tends to alter your life in that way. However, I believe I have been swayed by a commercial for a beauty product. I know - sounds a bit feminine. Never fear - the cool awesomeness of it shall soon be revealed.

The commercial is for a Nivea face gel. We are treated to a young male professional sporting an afternoon stubble as he throws on his coat to leave for the day. This is a concept I enjoy - and any QLF people would know what I'm talking about. The concept of loosening the tie after a long's day of work followed by leaving the fucking office for anything else. Already I'm knee-deep into this commercial, and I haven't even seen the product.

As he enters the elevator to leave the corporate jungle, he splashes Nivea for Men Energizing Hydro Gel on his face. This is no spray-splash. This is a manly "this has been one long fucking day and I'm so glad I'm leaving" face rub. He proceeds to go bowling, karaoke, and of course - the late-night meal.

Here are the reasons I love the late-night meal:
Of course, for me, I enjoy the late-night meal so much that I'm sad to see it end. I'm usually sober and am enjoying myself so much, but everyone is just so tired that the night is over at that point.

The guy in the commercial though - he's a mad stud. He obviously realizes he's been out so late that it's time to go back into work. Another note: he went out that late knowing he'd have to go to work the next day - also very manly. He throws his jacket back on - goes to the office and splashes some more Nivea for Men Energizing Hydro Gel.

If only I got paid for this post...

Comments:
Doesn't matter if he's trying to be a "manly" person by staying late at night; he's using a face gel. Very Very Gay. West-Hollywood Gay. Who knows? Maybe he was staying all night in a gay bar. I have nothing against gay though. Just stating the fact.
