An uncut stone is flawed and beautiful

It's a caper theme, there's a getaway car A diamond to steal, a plan that might go wrong If this is a set up, please let me know I can't risk my life for a guilded stone | I thought all along this was everything Try not to look to hard to find that it's not real I knew all along you weren't everything Then in the darkest hour I watched you disappear |
Sleater-Kinney welds this broken-hearted song into a diamond heist. The guitar in the song mimics the song's themes, parlaying around, almost creepily until it belts into some heavy riffs.
"I'm not the one you wanted. Not the thing you keep - I'm on to you." The lyrics above are actually sang line by line at the same time mirroring the concepts - but at the end of the day, she's lost something important, and everything else just doesn't seem to matter.

Six pair of kicks is my definition of 12 steps

Amy shoulda rehab'd him,
'stead she doubled his ration.
Can you blame me for being a slave to my passion?
- Jay-Z (on Amy Winehouse's Rehab remix)
I like imagining Amy Winehouse and Jay-z grooving while he raps this piece. Amy Winehouse's Rehab is an awesome groovy jam. To me, Jay-z's additions are icing on the cake; just enough without overshadowing what is already so good about the song.
My brother talked about a "All I realy needed to know I learned from Rap/Hip-hop," which was at the time, sort of a social parallel to the "All I really needed to know I learned in kindergarten." I would definitely put Jay-z's line there (other lines from the prototype list included 2pac's "All I need in this life of sin, is me and my girlfriend."
